Claude Eugene Buchanan was born on September 13, 1871.
He married Corinne Margaret Swift on September 5, 1900, in Atlanta, at the home of his mother-in-law, Lena Burckhardt
Public Service and Career
Claude was active in civic life in Atlanta, serving on the city council and, for a brief time in the late 1920s, as Mayor Pro Tem. His service reflects a period of local leadership during years of growth and change in the city.
In his later professional life, he worked as a sales agent for Procter & Gamble. Following his retirement, he remained in Atlanta.
